Dear St. George Families and Community Members, The Return to School Committee and subcommittees are working hard preparing for the 2020/21 school year, which begins for students on Tuesday, September 8. We shared our Draft Return to School Plan – Outline and Key Recommendations (https://5il.co/iisg) last month and will be releasing a more detailed plan in the very near future. More information about our return to school planning can be found on the school website (https://www.stgeorgemsu.org/planning-for-2020-2021-school-year). Beginning next week, we will hold small group meetings with parents and community members to share more information about our planning, respond to questions, and listen to your thoughts, feedback, and concerns. Small group, in-person conversations observing social distancing guidelines will take place outside at the school and we will also offer remote meetings using Zoom. If you would like to be part of these conversations, please click here (https://forms.gle/DGEhiDAX5EKy3hqh8) to sign up for an in-person or remote meeting. If you have questions, please feel free to reach out to me at any time. Sincerely, Mike Felton St. George MSU Superintendent 207.372.6312 m.felton@stgeorgemsu.org

St. George School's annual Math Camp will not be happening this August. This cancellation breaks a chain of many successful summers where students at STG had the opportunity to practice skills and explore mathematically enriching problems; all while having fun and connecting with teachers and friends in the process. We are confident that next summer will be a return to normal operating procedures and that we will once again be able to open our doors to summer learning. If you have any questions or comments about math camp, please contact Adam Bullard at the school. a.bullard@stgeorgemsu.org

Dear St. George MSU Families: With the last day of school approaching for the St. George School, I'm reaching out with a reminder about collection of district technology that has been sent home to support students and families during these weeks of remote learning.  We have a few options available: Schedule a time for you to do a no-contact, curbside drop off at the St. George School at this link (https://calendly.com/stgtechcollect2020/15min). Have a no contact pickup from your residence June 18 or 19 after remote Crew activities have completed.  More details to follow about specific procedures for this.  If you've already requested this, another email will be coming directly to you. 8th graders and their siblings could bring devices to school tomorrow morning if you are coming for the parade. Mail your device and associated equipment back to St. George MSU, Attn: Paul Meinersmann, 65 Main St, Tenants Harbor, ME 04860 in a well protected package. Make other arrangements with me directly via email/phone. Please complete this form (https://forms.gle/TWWxgJ5LUCRsScn19) to let us know your preference for device collection.  It is very important that we get all of our St. George MSU issued equipment returned in a timely manner.  We need to do a thorough assessment of all equipment so that we can do repairs, order replacements, and prepare for next school year. As always, please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns. Thank you, Paul — Paul Meinersmann mobile: 207-975-3043 email: p.meinersmann@stgeorgemsu.org
