CTE/Makerspace VOTE TODAY: 4-8 p.m. at the Town Office Please remember to vote today at the Town Office between 4-8 p.m. so we can move forward with the CTE/Makerspace Building Project. We need voter approval to spend up to $3.5 million to construct the new CTE/Makerspace Building, which will be 100% funded by donations and grants. Our estimates indicate that the building project will cost less than $3.5 million, however, just to be safe, we’re asking for authorization to expend more than the estimated amount. Again, this vote will only authorize us to expend money raised through donations and grants on construction of the new building. Thank you for your support! More information is available on our website (https://www.stgeorgemsu.org/page/cte-makerspace-building) or by contacting Superintendent Mike Felton (m.felton@stgeorgemsu.org; 207.542.6394) or School Board Member Kristin Falla (k.falla@stgeorgemsu.org).

Our sixth grade partnered all year with the Arts@The Intersection program at the Farnsworth Art Museum. Their project, a digital film called, Love/Fear/Resilience, reflects on the history of the "Indian Boarding Schools" and the resistance and survival of the Wabanaki. This weekend, they walked the red carpet at The Strand to watch a documentary showcasing the work of the schools involved in the program. They then were able to be a part of the ribbon cutting for the new Learning and Engagement Gallery at the Farnsworth. Their digital film, along with artwork by Abbie, Nadia, and Violet, will be exhibited in the gallery all summer. Please go see the work of our Dragon Artists!

Congratulations to the Robotics team for a great showing at the Robot Track Meet on Saturday. Students built and programmed robots to perform various challenges like fastest robot, strongest robot, table clearing robot, ping pong shot-put, and there was even a strongest bridge design event. Genevieve, Lily, and Savannah got second place for their bridge, Norah and Lily (with help ahead of time from Abbie, Reny, and Nadia) got second place for ping pong shot-put, and Leif got first place for fastest robot. Go Dragons!
