First grade attended a field trip to the Maine Wildlife Park in Gray. For our bird expedition, we attended a presentation about bird adaptations. We also were able see the rest of the animals the park has to offer!
On Wednesday, May 8, 2019, which is an early release day with dismissal at 12:30pm and teacher workshops in the afternoon, our mandatory school bus evacuation drills will be conducted on Betsy, Pam and Randy's buses. These drills will take place at dismissal and may cause bus runs to be delayed by 10 minutes. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you in advance for your understanding.

Mid-level Science students present an introduction to the town's "Know Before You Grow" campaign (https://youtu.be/Fy1bbyj1lMw) to identify and remove invasive plants and promote native plantings. See our interactive map about invasives around school, http://bit.ly/STG-PlantMap.
Come support the 8th grade Quebec trip at the Great Whatever Sale on May 4th at the St. George School gym from 9am - 1pm. Their are still tables available for sale by calling the school at 372-6312.
Tomorrow afternoon, Monday, April 29, Betsy's and Randy's bus runs will be combined. Students who ride Betsy's bus will be 5-10 minutes late and Randy's students on route 73 will be 15 minutes late. Morning bus runs will remain the same. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Randy and Betsy's afternoon bus runs for K-8 kids will be combined today, Wednesday, April 10, 2019, leading to Randy's kids being up to 20 minutes late.
As part of our spring expedition, Birds' Amazing Bodies, both first grades were visited by Chewonki's traveling natural history program today. Students learned about characteristics and calls of different owls, adaptations of these nocturnal hunters, and saw three live owls!
St. George School will be closed today due to an incoming winter storm that is forecast to last all day. All high school bus runs are cancelled. At this time, RSU 13 and RSU 40 are also closed.
