St. George MSU is looking for Substitutes!

These mysterious objects appeared on the K-5 and 6-8 playgrounds today prompting lots of smiles and excitement. #snowboulders #snowhenge

Students riding the Eeyore Bus and the Dolphin Bus tomorrow morning, January 20, who live on Route 131 and Long Cove Road may experience a 5 to 10 minute delay due to a driver absence and subsequent combination of bus runs. Please allow extra time for the bus to arrive. Dolphin Bus students who live on Kinney Woods Road, Dennison Road, Clark Island Road and Seal Harbor Road should remain unaffected. Even though the buses will be combined there will still be space to maintain our bus safety Covid-19 protocols of one child per seat unless siblings.
For her participation in the Read to Ride Summer Reading Challenge, the Maine Department of Education and the Freemasons of Maine awarded 7th grade student Kayla Thompson a gift card for a brand new bike and helmet from Walmart. Congratulations, Kayla!

Parent & Teacher Conferences are scheduled to be held this Thursday and Friday. Over the past several years, we have placed our students at the center of their learning by preparing them for student-led conferences. Even though this powerful practice can't happen this year due to the pandemic restrictions, the teachers at St. George are eager to share the academic and social-emotional growth of our resilient students.
Please reach out to Jan in the office to schedule one of these meetings and/or if any parent or community member wishes to discuss standards-based grading, curriculum, Expeditionary Learning, behavioral procedures, Star Wars or anything else on your mind, please know that I will also be available during these early release days to meet. You can also email me directly at a.bullard@stgeorgemsu.org to set up a time.
Happy Holidays!
