Middle Level Fall Sports Update
This year we will be running programs that focus on skill development, intramural play, and fun! All activities will follow the Maine DOE, Maine CDC, and MPA guidelines. Click on the link (https://forms.gle/eAooufZcU6fC6vm46) to learn more and sign up!

We want to remind you that you can fill out a Free & Reduced Meals application at anytime. This program helps us feed our community, costs St. George MSU nothing, and if the percentage of our students who qualify for free or reduced meals exceeds the state average then out school could receive about $150,000 in additional state subsidy. If our percentage falls below the state average then we receive no state subsidy for economically disadvantaged students. You can fill out an application online at https://lunchapplication.com or access a paper copy at https://5il.co/i8la

The St. George School and Blueberry Cove are offering a before and after school program to help support parents in their return to work and to accommodate the new 9-3:30 school day. The before school program runs Mon-Fri from 7:30-8:30 with drop off at Blueberry Cove and a bus pick up to take students to school in the morning. The after school program meets Mon-Thurs 3:30-5:30 and Fri 12-3:30 at the St. George School. All health and safety protocols that apply during the school day will also apply at both of these programs. Families are still expected to screen for symptoms before dropping off in the morning. Dear St. George Families and Community Members,
The Return to School Committee and subcommittees are working hard preparing for the 2020/21 school year, which begins for students on Tuesday, September 8. We shared our Draft Return to School Plan – Outline and Key Recommendations (https://5il.co/iisg) last month and will be releasing a more detailed plan in the very near future. More information about our return to school planning can be found on the school website (https://www.stgeorgemsu.org/planning-for-2020-2021-school-year).
Beginning next week, we will hold small group meetings with parents and community members to share more information about our planning, respond to questions, and listen to your thoughts, feedback, and concerns. Small group, in-person conversations observing social distancing guidelines will take place outside at the school and we will also offer remote meetings using Zoom. If you would like to be part of these conversations, please click here (https://forms.gle/DGEhiDAX5EKy3hqh8) to sign up for an in-person or remote meeting.
If you have questions, please feel free to reach out to me at any time.
Sincerely,
Mike Felton

St. George School's annual Math Camp will not be happening this August.
This cancellation breaks a chain of many successful summers where students at STG had the opportunity to practice skills and explore mathematically enriching problems; all while having fun and connecting with teachers and friends in the process.
We are confident that next summer will be a return to normal operating procedures and that we will once again be able to open our doors to summer learning.
If you have any questions or comments about math camp, please contact Adam Bullard at the school. a.bullard@stgeorgemsu.org
