Join St. George Superintendent Mike Felton as he talks “shop” (literally!) with Technology and Makerspace Director Paul Meinersmann on Tuesday, 3/22! 

Mike and Paul are excited to bring listeners up to speed on the development of Career Technical Education at St. George School, how that led to the need for a Makerspace Building, and the latest developments on architectural designs and curricular adaptations for 21st Century learning on our peninsula. 

They will give an overview and then take questions from participants.

Bobby Deetjen, Mike Felton, and the Reinvention of Public Schools through Career Technical Education (Bridging 20th and 21st Century Skills)

Join St. George Superintendent Mike Felton as he talks “shop” (literally!) with Midcoast School of Technology Director Bobby Deetjen on Thursday, 3/24! 

Both Bobby and Mike have amazing stories to tell about all kinds of students who have benefited from the “hands-on / minds-on” style of learning that comes with a curriculum that is grounded in Career Technical Education, or CTE. They believe that this type of education has the power to revitalize public education and contribute to more resilient rural economies.
