Dear Families,
Over the years, we've discussed the critical shortage of bus drivers our district is facing along with school districts across Maine and the nation. At this time, our district does not have any substitute bus or van drivers. This means that if even one bus driver is out due to illness, medical appointments, or other reason, we will need to change, delay, or cancel bus runs.
We are actively searching for and recruiting drivers. We have an open bus driver position as well as open sub bus driver and sub van driver positions. If you, or someone you know, is interested in driving for the school, please contact Transportation Director Randy Elwell (r.elwell@stgeorgemsu.org) or me (m.felton@stgeorgemsu.org). Even if someone can only drive occasionally as a substitute, that will be a huge help to our students, family, and school community!
