Walk-A-Thon
On Friday, May 5th, St. George School celebrated Better World Day. Kindergarten through 2nd grade participated in a Walk-A-Thon to raise funds for new playground equipment. Dressed up in blue Better World Day shirts, students had name tags with lap numbers that got punched each time they completed their lap. A speaker played music in the background. A scoreboard was keeping track of time while water was being served. They all completed 25 laps around the lower parking lot. We saw 8th graders cheering them on with pom poms, it was a marvelous sight. They raised $20,801! GO DRAGONS!
