Dear Families,
Due to a critical shortage of bus drivers and substitute drivers, if even one driver is out we have to delay and cancel runs. Next week, on Tuesday, May 2 our afternoon bus runs will be impacted. Specifically, this will affect students who ride the afternoon Eeyore bus (students who live north of the school), PreK bus, and Camden Hills bus. If there is anyway families can arrange rides for children in PreK-8 next Tuesday (5/2) afternoon, that will help us get all students home sooner. More details are below:
- May 2 afternoon PreK Run: Canceled
- May 2 afternoon Eeyore bus run:
- Students who live on 131 north of the school dismissed at regular time (2:30 p.m.)
- Students who live on Kinney Woods Rd., Dennison Rd., and Spruce Head Village dismissed at 3 p.m.
- Students who live on Rt 73, Clark Island Rd., Dennison Rd., and Cline Rd., will be dismissed at 3:20 p.m.
We apologize for this inconvenience. Again, if you can provide transportation for your PreK-8 child next week on Tuesday, May 2, that will help us get students home sooner. Thank you for your help! We are actively working to find drivers and substitute drivers. We are advertising in local newspapers and reaching out to individuals. If you know of anyone who may be interested in driving bus - even on a substitute basis - please let Randy or me know. Bus driver and substitute bus driver job postings and applications are available on our website.
