Please take a few minutes to participate in this community survey by the St. George MSU Early Childhood Education Working Group regarding public Pre-K programming. We would like to get as much feedback as possible and welcome all St. George community members to complete the survey: https://goo.gl/forms/RRW4JN86IDZnc8lK2

The St. George MSU Early Childhood Education Working Group began meeting a little over a year ago exploring public Pre-K programing and proposed state legislation that could impact school districts' early education services. Understanding St. George's early education needs is important to our ongoing work and will help us determine public Pre-K needs for St. George MSU.

The Maine Department of Education statistics show that approximately 80% of Maine school districts offer at least one public preschool classroom and approximately 40% of all eligible children are enrolled in Pre-K statewide. Some of our surrounding districts that offer Pre-K programs include RSU 13 (South School and Ash Point Community School), RSU 40 (Miller, Warren and Union schools) and Union 69 (Hope Elementary School).

This survey will help us better understand St. George's early childhood education needs and how best to address those needs. Thank you!
